Red Cedar


Sturdy, comfortable and designed for the great outdoors, our red cedar wood furniture is designed to keep you in perfect harmony with nature. The quiet splendor of the Canadian mountain forests is reflected in the warmth and personality of these pieces. A portion of the materials used to create our products is from "Blow Down" salvage wood, the rest is environmentally harvested. "Blow Down" is the industry term that refers to trees that have fallen though natural processes, not human intervention.


Cedar wood is aromatic and naturally coloured but is predominantly known for it's outdoor durability. Natural oils within the red cedar wood help to preserve its beauty through all kinds of weather. The wood gives off a sweet, aromatic, herbal scent and is used in many of the ceremonial rituals of the Ojibway people.

Red cedar wood accepts a variety of stains and wood oils readily, from natural cedar tones to darker wood stain finishes. If left untreated, cedar wood will in time, develop a warm grey tone.
